Elves

The Elves were known as the firstborn. They were a dominant race in the early ages of Middle Earth but were fading by the close of the Third Age.

The "high" elves generally wore heavy armour whereas the elves of the forest did not. The "wood" elves relied more on speed, stealth and dexterity (see the Mirkwood section).

The elven blade was a weapon feared by its enemies. It had a long slightly curved blade and a long handle. The weapon could be wielded one-handed or two-handed; with a variety of fighting styles reminiscent of Japanese Samurai.
