Sun glinted from the flaming dragon as it rose above the buildings. The flapping noise came not from its wings, but from the sail on which it was painted.
The corsair ship Dragonfire rode gently at anchor as the sound of steel upon steel slowly died away towards the eastern end of the port.

While visiting the Napoleonic Wargames Society in Perth, I observed a number of custom made boxes used for storing DBM armies.

A Quick and Dirty Review of Some 15mm Romans. First, the background. Way back in 1981, I happened to be flicking through a mate’s copy of the old WRG “Armies and Enemies of Imperial Rome”. When the book was republished later that year, I grabbed it, and continued picking up information relating to the Roman Army of the second half of the Fourth Century AD.

The following is a short summary of the steps I use can be a little time consuming but the end result is satisfying.

Major General Edward Braddock is best remembered for his disastrous attempt to capture Fort Duquesne and drive the French from that strategic stronghold on the “Forks” of the Ohio River. His army was effectively destroyed by an inferior force of French troops and their Indian allies at the battle at Monongahela on July 9, 1755.
