KAMERADEN 1919 - Voted 3rd Best Display |
It is 1919 and the cities of Germany are in revolutionary turmoil. Militias of Communist workers are determined to overthrow the capitalist regime. They battle in the streets against the paramilitary Freikorps who are equally determined to extinguish the Red threat to the Fatherland. This skirmish level game pits these ideologically opposed forces against one another in a battle to the death; the ultimate prize being dominance of the city and destruction of their foe. Another fantastic skirmish game staged by Cannon Fodder Miniatures. They are an Australian wargames figure manufacturer based in Bendigo, Victoria. The Kameraden figures are made by them and are available from their website: http://www.cannonfodder.com.au Once again Greg Blake kindly made the journey from Bendigo and put on this great display with help from Bob. A fantastic effort when you have to transport several high-rise city blocks :^) |

Advanced Squad Leader is a hex based boardgame originally published by Avalon Hill. Note in the photos how the group is using enlarged maps for ease of play and good visual appeal as the counters can be spread out and do not obscure the terrain in each hex. |

GORKA MORKA |
Gorka Morka is a fun small skirmish game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. Tribes of Orks and their bashed up vehicles compete against one another. Orks love to fight and spend a lot of time scavenging parts and converting their vehicles to help them beat up the other Orks. One of the strengths of Gorka Morka is its campaign system, where you can upgrade vehicles and Orks between skirmishes. Orks love to run into things, so they like for their vehicles to be bigger, better armoured and spikier than the vehicles of other tribes. Travis and Craig presented this game with help from delightful figures and vehicles converted and painted by Jeremy Shannon. |
