Deployment Zones
The following diagram is a graphical reproduction of information detailed in the Deployment & Ambush rules;;
DEPLOYMENT, page 15, 2nd para -
Unless inside or part of a fortified BUA or in ambush, troops, baggage and TF cannot be deployed:
- Further forward than 300p short of the table centre line.
- Unless naval, within 300p of a short table edge.
- Within 200p of an enemy garrisoned fortified BUA.
AMBUSHES, page 15, last para -
...... A defender cannot place ambushers further forward than the table centre line. An invader cannot place ambushers further forward than 300p short of the table centre line. An ambush cannot be placed within 200p of an enemy garrisoned fortified BUA.
Note: forward deployment zones and ambushes are now referenced from the centre line of the table, allowing non-standard size tables to be used.
Diagram drawn to 15mm scale, all dimensions in "mm" unless otherwise specified.
Deployment is only otherwise affected if the defender places a fortified BUA in the invaders deployment area. An invader cannot deploy closer than 100mm or 4" (200 paces) to this fortified BUA if garrisoned by the defender..
