Comments, ideas and feedback welcome!
DE BELLIS MULTIDUDINUS (DBM) is a set of Ancient/Medieval wargaming rules written by Phil Barker and Richard Bodley Scott, published by Wargames Research Group (WRG).
The following diagrams and text are intended as a guide to the various manoeuvres used in playing DBM. They illustrate the mechanics involved in moving units around the board and will hopefully expand and accelerate beginners understanding of the game’s mechanics. Movement in DBM is one of the hardest aspects to grasp since the rules are primarily given in text form with only a few graphical examples.
| All diagrams & illustrations are drawn for 15mm scale. Movement is shown in millimetres/inches (not paces). | |||||||||

The following examples have been drawn on CAD and are geometrically to scale. I have used 15mm scale, 40x20mm elements with 3" movement as the basis for most examples unless otherwise stated.
We hope the above information has been helpful. If there are any corrections or feedback, please let me know. I you have any ideas you would like me to include, I would be glad to hear them. nwa@alphalink.com.au
