The purpose of the Society of Australian Ancients Wargamers is to promote miniature figurines table-top wargaming involving the Ancient period in Australia and to promote national and international championships of Ancients and other wargames as the membership may determine from time to time.

  • 17/07/03   Any Australian players planing to attend the 2004 Rome IWF Championship should advise their SAAW reps as quickly as possible, places will be limited. Full details for the Rome event can be obtained from; http://users.libero.it/clara.marco/wch2004/eng00.htm

  • 1/07/03    Melbourne has been selected to host the 2005 IWF Championship. The dates for the event are Anzac Day long weekend (23rd-25th April, 2005). Further details to be released.

  • 1/03/03   Australia has won the rights to host the 2005 International Wargames Federation championship. The host city is yet to be determined, various states are preparing bids and selection should be resolved by the end of June.
