Entries required by the 25th March 2005
Rules: The Flames of War rules from Battlefront are to be used along with all Experimental Rules listed in the
Lessons from the Front II document available on the Flames of War website (http://www.flamesofwar.com).
Table size will be 6 feet x 4 feet with pre-set terrain. Tables with expanses of ruined buildings may use the Street Fighting rules from Stalingrad and such tables will be indicated at the
event.
Army List: Armies are to be chosen up to 1500 points for the Mid War period. All printed Intelligence Handbooks
and the official army list.pdf downloads for the Mid War period will be allowed. This includes all Rulebook lists plus Diving Eagles, Hitler’s Fire Brigade, Old
Ironsides, Desert Rats, Stalingrad, Desert Fox and Stars and Stripes; as well as the PDF amendments for Soviet Tankovaya Bataljons, Pioneers to the Front and
Elite Forces.
Rounds: The tournament will consist of 8 rounds played over three days, with three rounds on each of the first two
days and two rounds on the third day. Each game will be allotted 2 ½ hours to complete.
Awards: Awards will be presented for Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd, as well as for Best
General, Best Sportsman and Best Army. The Flames of War Tournament guidelines as found on the Flames of War website will be used for this competition.
Scenarios: A mixture of Free-for-all, Hold the Line, Breakthrough, Fighting Withdrawal, Meeting Engagement and The
Cauldron scenarios will be played. The Hold the Line scenario may be replaced with the Big Push scenario as per the rules in Hitler’s Fire Brigade (and also found on the Flames of War
website). Note that the Death from Above scenario will not be used.
Entry Price: The entry price will be AUD$65 and includes an embroidered IWF polo shirt. Late fee for
