  • Entries and Army Lists required by the 25th March 2005, check <Registration>

  • The rules to be used are DBR v 2.0, Army Lists from Books 1,2 & 3, together with the current BHGS Guidelines (v1.1) for fair play and the BHGS 32-0 scoring system <download copy> (to be provided by the organisers).

  •  Army Lists may be chosen from any book and must not exceed 400 AP.  They must be submitted allocating all elements including baggage to a command. Baggage must be declared as mobile or immobile on the army list.  The list must specify the number of element equivalents and demoralisation levels for each command and for the whole army and they must indicate the climate, aggression factor, year, geographical region, general where relevant. Once an army list has been submitted it may only be  altered by the minimum amount necessary to correct any errors discovered by the list checker. The list checker’s decision  is final.   Lists to be submitted in one of the following formats;
    <Excel DBR-List_generator.xls> <Word format> <RTF format>
    and submitted via email to official DBR list checker,  Pete Dalby (2004 IWF DBR Champion) <jackie.dalby@ntlworld.com>

  •  Two selections from the same army list and from the same date and Nationality, dynasty, tribal grouping, geographic, regional and political sub-division (including the same general or leader if this affects troop choice) may be chosen. The decision on which selection to use is taken immediately after your opponent announces his Army including the date and its nationality.   Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after set up dice have been rolled) must be corrected prior to the next match.

  •  Table size is 1800 (6') x 1200 (4')and each player must supply their own terrain pieces, these must be rules compliant, and in accordance with the Guidelines for Fairplay.  Terrain placement will be player placed as per DBR 2.0.  In the fine tradition of DBR being the friendly competition,  players should only use fairly realistic looking terrain so placed to generate a challenging,  but not impossible,  battle field which neither too restricts an opponent's deployment area,  nor chokes the table so as to force a draw. Placing difficult terrain,  rivers etc so as to prevent an opponent from deploying is discouraged as are excessive numbers of features or short edge to short edge rivers.  The umpires may in their sole discretion remove unsightly or inappropriate terrain features.

  •  Three player umpires will resolve any rules queries.  Provisionally,  the player umpires will be Dave Clarke (England), Mark Robins (Australia) and a New Zealand based umpire (yet to be finalised).  In the unlikely event of any controversy between the umpires, a majority decision is binding. Players should try to resolve any measurement or distance queries themselves save that  if a moving player fails to leave a marker or similar before moving troops from their starting position then any distance query is to be resolved against him.

  •  A trophy will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed players in each event and the World Championships Trophy will be presented to be held by the WORLD CHAMPION for 1 year

  •  Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. An application to enter denotes acceptance of these rules.

  •  All correspondence will be by e-mail
