Andrew Banks (left), our only international guest from Scotland, pits his borrowed Early Hungarian army against Bob Ritchie with Medieval Portugese.	Hungarian knights charge across the board to slug it out with their Portugese counterparts. Bob appears to be on the defensive, the game finished 5-5.
Gerry Fallon with 1150AD Scots, plays Greg Russell using Later Imperial Romans.	The Romans used terrain defensively in their deployment, the Scots obviously lacking speed & punch to force a result (5-5).
Bob Ritchie (left) with Medieval Portugese, contemplates cracking Fortress Sharp defended by Early Crusaders.	Early Crusaders defending the hills. The game proved extremely close with both sides losing commands in the centre.
John McCartney with Sicilian, plays Brenton Searle using Anglo Irish. Note the curious shape of the river, narrowing down at one ;)	Sicilian Catalan Ax(S) holds the army's right flank in rough going while the rest attacks to the left. The Irish survived 5-5.
Joel Williams with Maccabean Jewish, playing Martin Morgan using Muslim Indians.	Joel's Jewish infantry were quite impressive, using a mixture of Ax(S) and Pk(I).
Richard Stubbs with Christian Nubian gets off to a bad start against Gerry Fallon using 1150AD Scots. The Nubians nose dived 0-10.	Nubian Cm(S) manourving behind some friendly Bow. Against heavy infantry armies like the Scots, they would have struggled.
Scott Driscoll (with aide-de-camp) runs Anglo Norman against Steve Sutton using Patrician Roman.	The Romans would have struggled against the large Norman spear wall (with supporting archers), going down 0-10.
Steve Horvat with Skythians, plays Brad Del Munns using Early Achaemenid Persians.	Steve was one of Victoria's secret weapons in this tournament. Skythian Bw(I) backed up with Kn(F) ready for the coup de grace.
Selwyn Peake with Christian Nubian plays Steven Thorpe using Early Hungarian. Steven was another lower ranked player who finished relatively high up (17th).	Hungarian knights move in for the killed. Apart from camels, there wasn't alot that threatened them in the Nubian army.
Chris Burg's desire to paint up Geometric Greeks had his colleagues worried, especially with the level of detail he used.	Was it the simplified color schemes or the thrill of so much naked Greek flesh.... not a question we really bothered to ask.
