Please read thoroughly, there are numerous changes to previous years. The tournament will be run in accordance with SAAW Tournament Guidelines v2002 (draft), these can be downloaded from the SAAW website along with clarifications/interpretations intended for use. Or alternatively, refer to your state SAAW representative.
- Rules: DBM v3.0, including any official amendments released by authors.
- Six rounds total with two rounds played per day. Starting time each day 9.00am.
- Armies to be selected from any
DBM Books 1 to 4 (2nd Ed only) up to 1500AD.- Army size; 350AP maximum.
- Players submit one army list with date & set commands including baggage and type of baggage. Any double based elements must be stated. Your list must specify the precise year of the army and any particular option chosen (eg. Eastern Middle Imperial Roman under Aurelian in 272AD). Lists cannot be change after lodgement except to correct detected errors.

Late entries will be penalised!- Table sizes 6 by 4 (standard).
- Duration for each round/game - 3.50 hours, plus 0 to 30 minutes (Whistle Stop.)
- Terrain, Weather, Time of Day; as per DBM version 3.0. (Players to provide terrain.)
- Scoring: Standard DBM scoring (10-0)
- Dice will be provided to each table by the organisers.
- All figures must be appropriately based, painted and accurately depict the troops they represent.
Teams Events: Individual teams 3 players, State teams - 4 players (as selected by their respective state SAAW reps). Individual Team entries to be submitted prior to round 1 to tournament umpire.
Trophies to be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd placings, Best Performing Player, and teams placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Prize Vouchers provided by Essex Miniatures Australia (NSW) and Games Lords (QLD).
Best Performing Player will be awarded to the competitor who best performs above their pre-tournament ranking. The "Porus" award (trophy sponsored by NFAWG, prize voucher from Miniature Word Maker) will be given to the lowest rank player that defeats a higher ranked player by the largest margin in their rankings.

You can only enter the competition by (1) sending an entry form with payment to the CANCON organisers and (2) lodging a list directly with Scott Elaurant by the deadline 10th January. Any questions about your entry should be directed to the CANCON organisers.
