The Players (2)
![]() Martin Ossa (left) with Lithuanians (& Teutonic allies) plays Martin Morgan using Muslim Indians. |
![]() The Lithuanians stalled for most of the game, making a late attempt to force a breakthrough with the Teutonics, finishing 4-6 down. |
![]() Ian Baxendell (left) with Khitan-Liao, plays Russell Smith using Beja. Russell's army was freshly painted for this competition. |
![]() A close up of Russell's Beja Arab LH(O) looking somewhat out-numbered by Khitan-Liao cavalry. |
![]() Richard Stubbs (left) with Patrician, plays Michael Nicholson using Sassanids. Stubbsy uses his favorite tactic of deploying TF's filled with artillery. |
![]() The Sassanids break through the centre and almost reach the enemy baggage, but somehow the game is lost to them 0-10. |
![]() Troy Adlington with Beja (left), plays Scott Driscoll using Anglo Normans. The Normans went down 2-8 |
![]() |
![]() Rob Zamykal with Sargonid, plays Rob Punton using Alexandrian Imperial, complete with experimental phalanx. |
![]() The Sargonids prevailed early over the Macedonians, but an 1.00pm flight home for Rob Zamykal meant he had to forthfeit the match. |
![]() Andrew Silk (left) with Ottoman Turks looking pretty please with his flank march arriving, plays Peter Bismire using Medieval French. The Ottomans prevailed 10-0. |
![]() Radek Zeleny (left) with Later Hungarians, plays Ian Sharp using his Feudal Spanish. Ian went down 0-10 to the Hungarians, finishing 12th overall (Radek 15th). |
![]() The infamous Nick Buckby (left) from NZ using Palmyran, plays Mike Walsh and his Sea Peoples. The game finished 6-4 to the Sea Peoples..... |
![]() A very unusual game, Shaun Breadner with Later Hungarian plays Hernan Pinto-Lopez using Swedish Leidang. Both deployed on the short side of the river, both flanked marched (same side). Viking 10-0 |
![]() We neglected to photograph any baggage this year, only this monstrosity caught our eye, credited to Gerry Fallon for his Middle Assyrian army. In Gerry's word; "Inspired from pictures of Petra and wondering how they did it. Added the Persian-esque trilingual inscription after figuring out how to add new fonts to my computer. Took about a year of planning and a week to make. And its whole purpose was so that people would come up to my table and say, "Nice baggage." Well Gerry.... nice baggage.... shame about the kilt though! |
