South Pacific Championship
The Victorian team has again taken out the SP championship for the consecutive sixth year running. Teams for the South Pacific Championship have four competitors drawn from across all three tournaments (DBM, DBR & 7th Ed. - 128 competitors total) and who live in the sate or country of origin. Only three of the four best scores from each team member are totalled at the end of each round.

Armies selection this year showed a definate swing towards the "chariot" period, no doubt due to the recent release of 2nd Ed. Book 1. The break-up was Book 1 (20%), Book 2 (35%), Book 3 (23%) and Book 4 (22%). The most popular army choice was Seleucid with six players, all of whom finished in a tight group on 30-33 points? Other most popular armies were Late Imperial Roman (4), Classical Indians (4), Patrician Roman (3), Neo-Assyrian Sargonid (3), Early Samurai (3) and Early Acheamenid Persian (3). A definate trend towards "bow" strong armies is evident with five finishing in the top ten placings. A total nine Roman armies were present overall.

Countback
If two or more players finished on equal final scores, a "countback" was conducted using the following criteria to separate them in the tournament rankings; (used in descending priority across all three tournaments; DBM, DBR & WRG 7th Ed.)
(1) If either competitors had played each other during any round, the victor would be ranked higher,
(2) The sum of each competitor's opponents scores were totalled and using this, re-sorted in descending order,
(3) The competitor with the highest number of 10-0 scores wins.
