23nd Australian Ancients Championships
Cancon 2001 - 26th to 28th January
Another great national tournament has passed with a record 91 competitors taking part in the DBM. Congratulations to Marcus Watson for achieving his second national title using Classical Indians. His win was closely contested in DBM by Greg Russel (West Sudanese) and David Phillip's (Classical Indians). All three were separated on countback. Marcus has vowed to take on DBR next year to give us all a break. Mark Robins wins his third consecutive DBR title.
Our thanks go out to Craig McGarty & helpers for running another great AAC event. Craig has now run five AAC's consecutively and has definitely announced his intention to participate as a competitor next year.
