The pressure is on, Greg Russell with West Sudanese plays Marcus Watson, Classical Indian, the winner takes out first place. Marcus refuses on the left and concentrates his forces on the right.	Despite being Bw(I), the Sudanese won many off the archery duels against Indian Bw(S) counterparts. Here, an Indian Bd(X) goes in single handed and is bounced three times by Irr Bw(I).
Who says bigger isn't better. Luke Taper deploys his 200+ element Libyan army against Alastair Lowke's Carthaginians.	Six ranks deep in the middle, plus the back edge is further stacked with filler troops.
Troy Adlington using Later Hungarians plays Stephen Horvat with Italian Condotta.	Troy's deployed his warwagons and infantry in the "scorpion" formation. This was Steve Horvats first Cancon.

Peter Stone with Medieval German plays Jason "Tupi Boy" Williams. Jason deployed a huge ambush and traverse river to reduce his opponents manoeuvrability.	The Tupi ambush backfired, they broke cover piecemeal to got beaten by Germans who attacked aggressively across the river.

Tim Montgomery running Cholas against Rod Cooke with Norman  .... ouch! not a good match up against eight El(O)'s.	Normans knights launch pin-point attacks, taking care to avoid Tim's elephants.
Peter D'Costa with Later Imperial Romans, plays Radek Zeleny and Later Hungarians.	The legions move in supported by cart mounted artillery.
Peter Barret using Nikephorian Byzantine plays Ian Gray with Italian Lombards.	Byzantine warwagons fend off Lombard Kn(F) while Kataphraktoi Kn(I) wedges punch a whole through the centre.
Richard Stubbs with Yuan Chinese (& Javanese allies) plays first-timer Andrew Silk using Timurid and Persian allies.	A closeup of Andrew's CinC's command with Art(S), Bw(I) and Elephants. Andrew finished overall 8th for the weekend.
Charles Stubbs with Maccabean Jewish plays David Young using Umayyad Arabs.	The Umayyads managed a minor victory out of this battle. Here, the Jewish Pike(I) phalanx moves in against the Arab Sp(I).
