Fantasy wargaming meets American football in a fun filled game of random events, dirty tricks and misfortune. Two teams line up against each other on a specially marked board representing the field of play. The aim is to score touchdowns by carrying the ball into the opponents "end zone" The aim is not to hospitalise as many of the opposing team as possible (even though it's funny). Players act as team managers over the season as their creatures gain experience, lose players to injury and play in the final series at the business end of the season. |

Blood Bowl is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. Teams include humans, chaos, undead, orcs, skaven, wood elves, dark elves, high elves, dwarves, halflings and chaos dwarves. Currently there is an active Blood Bowl league that is nearing the finals. The league consisted of 12 players. Each of them have played 11 games; one against each opposition team. As the home and away season draws to a close there are six players in the running for the final 4 spots. The High Elves of Cameron C. have not lost a game yet and are obviously favourites.. The Humans of Iain M. and the Orcs of Michael are also certain of a place in the finals. The 4th spot for the finals showdown will be the Wood Elves of Matt, the Orcs of Iain F. or the Orcs of the other Cameron. |

The final series consists of two cut-throat rounds. The first round sees 1st play 4th and 2nd plays 3rd with the losing teams to drop by the wayside. The two winners will meet in the final for the honour of this year's Blood Bowl champion. Competition has been fierce during the season and games have been played at both the Mitcham and Croydon club venues. In addition to the teams mentioned above, there have also been representatives of Dark Elves, Dwarves, Chaos Dwarves and Skaven. Next year another league will be started, so if you want to join in, come along to the club and let Cameron, Iain, Iain or Michael know you are interested. |
